I think IF Rafe was truly on the outside of that alliance, then this move would've been perfect for him.
But he wasn't! That's the thing. Half of the tribe trusted him and wanted to work with him, and he betrayed him their first TC, splitting the tribe in half. Not only that, but he took the two people he strongly and correctly believe have the HII, lied to them, alienated them, and made them hate him. Now the people with the HII are in the minority and want to dethrone him. Good way to get yourself idol'd out
More than that, he would've been in the perfect position out of everyone in the game. Now, I believe he's actually in a pretty bad one down the road. I think he should've cut Vee loose and gotten Jerri/Erinn to vote that way with him. He shouldn't have told Jerri about the other alliance. Both sides wanted to work with him, so he should've rolled with it and played both sides. He didn't have to betray anyone if he had just booted Vecepia, so he would've been sitting pretty
The reason why he should've done that is because of the fact that they all know Chikara is broken in half. If he was maintaining relationships with both halves of his current tribe, and each half of Chikara wanted to kill each other using Rafiki in swap/merge situations, Rafe would've been in the pilot seat.
But now that each tribe is in half, and hes the leader of the winning half on Rafiki, the losing half of Rafiki is gonna use Chikara in a swap to take him and his side out. That's why I believe he's in a worse position. Plus they have the idol. He's put a huge target on his back
But this is when you take a step back and look at it from my point of view, where I know everything that's going on. Rafe can't quite see all of that, which is why I'm not really blaming him for the move. I do think he over reacted from the Matthew conversation. BUT, if he did feel like he was on the outs, then the move was great, and well executed by Jerri and him. When you look at it from all angles though, I don't believe it was a good move

Lawd Matthew is under the impression that Sean betrayed him instead of Rob C for whatever reason

I'll be here, but I won't be happy about it lol Or too drugged up to notice Every single member on Chikara has been drugged or suffered from alcohol abuse at some point this season. #TRIBE LEX!

This challenge is great. Can't wait to see all the little power plays surface up. I bet Rafe gives this his all. No idea who would want to go all out on Chikara.

Yeah, I don't think things are gonna bode well for Carter this round unless someone really tries to make a move. Unfortunately I think the core 5 of Rafe-V-Erinn-Jerri-Silas are going to stick together.
